During the Covid-19 crisis, in stark contrast to the global market, the study indicates that the Middle East sports market is set to grow by 8.7%. The main differentiator being that regional governments are actively seeking to use sport as a way to diversify their economies away from natural resources and to build social cohesion.
Having a legal infrastructure that supports such growth, particularly in relation to dispute resolution, is important for safeguarding the long-term sustainability of the sports market in the region.
